Meet Dr Julie Gallagher – Specialist GP in Women’s Health & Sexual Health
With a warm and compassionate approach, Dr Julie Gallagher brings over two decades of experience to our Women’s Health Clinic. Originally trained in the UK (MBChB 2001), Dr Gallagher moved to Australia in 2009 and became a proud Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She also holds additional qualifications in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Family Planning (DRCOG, DFFP), allowing her to provide expert care across a wide range of women’s health and sexual health needs.
Dr Julie has a strong background in general practice and a genuine passion for supporting women through all stages of life. Her special interests include chronic disease management, care for older women, and empowering patients with knowledge and choices in their health journey.

Take a proactive step in looking after your health with our comprehensive Well Woman Check – a dedicated 45-minute appointment focused entirely on you!
When you arrive, you’ll complete a short health questionnaire before having your vital signs (obs) and an ECG taken in our treatment room to get things started.
Your check-up includes:
- A detailed health history, including any current symptoms or concerns
- Review of your medical, surgical, gynecological and obstetric background
- Screening and guidance for breast, cervical and bowel cancer
- Osteoporosis risk assessment and advice for keeping your bones healthy
- Cardiovascular and diabetes review, including blood pressure check, physical exam, ECG and risk evaluation
- Investigations such as blood tests and referrals as needed
- Lifestyle and nutrition assessment with practical advice to support your wellbeing
45 minutes appointment – $280
Mirena & Implanon Services
(30 minutes)
We offer a full range of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) services in a supportive and professional environment.
All patients are required to book an initial consultation during standard appointment times. This allows us to discuss your medical history, answer any questions, and ensure the chosen method is right for you.
Follow-Up Care
A bulk-billed follow-up appointment is offered 6 weeks after your Mirena insertion to check on your progress and ensure everything is settling in as expected.
